The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
Right?! Not to mention she was conveniently no longer a severed head.
Exactly, because if it were really that easy to just stick the head back on your undead voodoo plaything, then why was Marie Laveau flipping out when they sent Bastian's head back to her in that box? I mean, sure she would've been pissed because they chopped up her minotaur boyfriend, but not distraught like what we saw. She's been alive for hundreds of years and seen a ton of shit. Why wouldn't she just have sewn him back up and kept it pushing? Bah.
I guess they want you to think that no one was checking for Misty because she never really was part of the tribe anyway. Maybe Madison told them all she left to follow Stevie around? Who knows? Since no one working on the show really seems to care, I guess they just figure we shouldn't care either.
I just caught up on this show. What the hell?
It would make a really excellent comedy, though. Myrtle lurking in the basement, playing the theremin, giving people bus tickets to Epcot. The ghost of the dead butler convincing Delphine to drug people with Benadryl.
"Your mother is Pol Pot in Givenchy."
I died at the line about Halston selling out to JC Penney. God bless that crazy, Myrtle.
I just give up with this show. Now all the witches have Supreme powers? I am still holding out hope that the final wonder is singing Baby Love and the girls lose out to Miss Diana Ross and then Diana kills them all while The Boss plays over the closing credits.
I have no idea what this season was supposed to be. Even last season held together better than this one. This is like a soap opera on second-rate crack by way of Sweeney Todd. Piecing together any kind of theme seems like too much work now, especially since my gut instinct is it's simply about how horrible women are, and how horrible women are to each other.
The AHS finale was so disappointing. I was SO excited for this season, and it failed for me on so many levels. Bah.
I thought it was a wonderful finale, and that this season was much better than last season. Though S1 was still my favorite.
So there were two moments in this finale I liked:
Myrtle in her red dress marching towards her funeral pyre while Silver Springs played was everything!
Knotty pine! Goddamn, I love Jessica Lange.
Everything else was a big ol' yawn. This was definitely my first and last season with AHS. I did enjoy the acting but the story was just ugh...and no...and yeah, no again.
I still think it would've been a million times better if Diana Ross had been the real supreme.

Yeah, basically.
kat, I agree that "Knotty pine!" was awesome. And I did love Myrtle's dress.
Also this, from the AV Club recap, practically sums up the whole season:
I did find it appropriate that the wonder that Madison choked when performing was divination. The idea that she couldn’t see beyond herself was a nice bit of ironic justice almost certainly arrived at accidentally.
I loved season 1 of AHS. I stopped watching season 2 about halfway through. I watched all of season 3 but didn't really enjoy it at all, and felt relief when I deleted the season pass. I'm not sure if I'll watch season 4.
Sarah Paulson looked stunning at the end of the show, though!
And I loved the little Stevie Nicks video at the beginning.
