My mother was having in-home IV therapy today while I was working on the laptop. I was horrified to hear the nurse recommend AHS:C to her as something she might enjoy because -- no. I protested and he insisted that it's a comedy/drama and really funny. My mom is really cool for 73 and likes a lot of stuff people wouldn't expect (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Teen Wolf, Sleepy Hollow, Iron Man, and so on and so on) but I think AHS:C would be pushing the limits.
Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Well, I got as far as the incident at the fraternity in the opening episode, and that was enough for me.

Jessica Lange gets off some good zingers and Kathy Bates' Madame is good for a chuckle at her reactions to waking up in the modern, less racist than slavery times world of New Orleans, but to try to in any way spin this show as a comedy is a stretch.
It's funny 'cause it's horrifying...yeah, no.
