The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

GC went too, but I think she'd been drinking, so not sure about a writeup.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I (and others) have been posting about it in the Buffy and Angel thread.

Rob Thomas Gets Another Pilot Greenlit:

Thomas pickup makes it three-for-three for the scribe, who's behind ABC's "Cupid" redux and the CW’s "Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff.

Hourlong comedy revolves around a family of criminals and the mother who decides to go straight when her husband winds up in jail. ABC Studios is producing.

The prolific Thomas wrote the script, which is based on the New Zealand series "Outrageous Fortune," which is about to start its fourth season on the TV3 network.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

dude. what the hell? hasn't he heard of spreading himself too thin? i'm extremely skeptical of falling in love with anything RT pulls out because the first season will lull me in and i'll fall in love and then end up being disappointed if it goes any further.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

"The Riches" meets "Arrested Development"?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"The Riches" meets "Arrested Development"?

I was gonna say.

HA! I should've quoted this part too:

Studio execs said they weren’t worried about Thomas being stretched too thin; there’s a good chance "Cupid" and the new project will be produced and air during separate parts of the season.

And I don't know much about Rob Thomas personally. Is he like a David Kelley who can crank out a season's worth of scripts over a long weekend and still have time to play 18 holes?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

hasn't he heard of spreading himself too thin?

He didn't expect ABC to pick up both of them! But I'm glad it got picked up because he (and ABC) thinks it's the better script.

Heh. He told me he's not sure when he'll ever sleep again.
