I originally posted it in Natter, but was pointed this way. In Natter there were postings that the sweater designs tend to be blocky ... there was mention of someone else who does better garment designs. Also of a book called "Sweater Quest" by a woman who was determined to knit a Starmore Fair Isle sweater; I found it amusing, the knitters, less so.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
Oh no, I found the book amusing - but it seemed like great effort for a poor result. (Although she made friends with the ladies from Mason-Dixon Knitting which is kind of an excellent result.)
Oh, I also meant to say, Toddson, you totally can post crafty stuff in Natter additionally.
In crafty news, I was amused to walk past a store called Fibre Space
I've heard of that store!
Its the LYS of Wendy Johnson of WendyKnits.
ETA: She mentions it in her most recent blogpost:

I have some special guests arriving on Thursday . . . The Knitgirllls! They are coming to visit and accompany me on my annual knitting retreat with friends to the wilds of Virginia. But before we head out for that, we will be at fibre space in Alexandria Virginia on Thursday, November 3, from around 4:00pm to 7:00pm. If you are in the area, stop by to sit and knit with us!
Cascade is calling this a cowl. . . seriously?
that's not a cowl, that's a -- caplet, shawlet, poncho-lite. But not a cowl.
Exactly!
I do not think that word means what they think it means.
