So, no one took me up on my offer on fb, but a friend went ahead and bought it on iTunes herself. Here's what she had to say:
terriers! I took the bait from all your status updates and downloaded the show on Itunes. Holy crap! What a great show! I really hope someone picks it back up -- they left off in a way that they could completely pick it back up. Heartbreaking that it died. Thanks for the recommendation!
Ooooohhhhkaaaaay. I love previews like that which help me know what not to watch. Creeepy-deepy.
I totally appreciate horror as a genre. Horror that it truly horrible, meaning without humor, just isn't my thing.
Slither is about as Horror-able as I can manage. Even that? Watched behind my fingers.
It looks like American Horror Story has great production values. Good luck to them!
I need to know that there's grotesque for more than just the point of being there for the gross-out factor. Also, I love Glee more than is healthy, and I know that comes from all the years I spent as one of those kids in the choir room and the hours and hours I spent rehearsing and performing. Even so, I can watch the show and see the flaws in the writing and those flaws are exactly what make me dubious about the ability of the creators to carry through yet another project. They have difficulty maintaining consistent characterizations and developing plotlines that carry through from one episode to the next, much less story arcs that carry throughout the course of a season. That's why I was worried about Tim's name in conjunction with theirs. Yay! for the buzz, but worry about the follow-through.
I just spoke to Shawn Ryan. Tonight, much transcribing.
Yay, Allyson!! That's awesome.
So, no comments on American Horror Story? I watched it this evening and... I'm not sure if I'll stick with it. It's certainly got style, but I'm not convinced there's any there there.
Check in the Cable thread, Jon.
Aha! Isn't Tim involved somehow?
