I had seen the ep where Brit beats the FUCK out of the wrong dude, and I thought at the time, "He's going to kill him. Who survives this sort of beating?"
And it seemed like the correct thing for this character. Scary as hell and screaming of ISSUES.
OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG.
I actually thought Brit was double-crossing and was surprised at the triple-cross. And then Ashley, and then the liquor store.

xposting from facebook, because I think y'all will appreciate the sentiment.
I LOVE THIS SHOW LIKE I LOVE BACON. SALTY, FATTY, DELICIOUS, MIGHT KILL YOU ONE DAY BACON.
Trying to keep track with all of the double and triple corssings, for a minute I thought maybe Laura is double crossing and the whole thing was staged.
Also? Good one, Tim.

Me too! Surprised and pleased!
And then Ashley
She was cute!
and then the liquor store.
SHIT JUST GOT REAL.
I like how the conspiracy endgame is so...mundane in a sinister way. I mean, it's not some sort of Evil Overlord World Domination Facility. It's just...an airport. That, uh, kind of requires razing the entire town.
You always
do
this! </Scott Evil>

It was so, "of course it's an airport!" when you actually live here and have been listening to the bitching about Lindbergh Field for a couple of decades, too. It suddenly got so very real and literally close to home.
Duh, P-C, you just hadn't seen this episode. I was thinking you hadn't seen any of it.
I will say that though I liked the councilman, as soon as they handed over THEIR ONLY COPY of the evidence I was like oh god, no. And then as soon as I heard "liquor store" I was like OH GOD NO. But this show has kept me guessing enough that I wasn't sure, and then the payoff came pretty quick. I was reminded of something Joss said about communicating how scary Reavers are - you have the baddest of ass be terrified of them. So for Sam to flip, Mr. Ocean Beach himself, demonstrates their ruthlessness very effectively.
