Wow. I first was mildly confused about the show's timeline, but that was OK. Now I'm just confused by your posts.

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
Heh. I'm the opposite of Shir. Strega's post made things clearer for me. It's interesting to see which things overlap. I had wondered how Gretchen knew Brit and Katie so well that she wanted them at her wedding.
Yeah, no, I think you're right, Strega. I mean, on another show I would figure it was handwavey, but this is the kind of show where that detail would come back to pay off. I definitely got that impression initially, that Katie knew Steph.
I'd be inclined to handwave it as unimportant but I feel like all the "2 years ago" and "it's been a year" and "543 days of sobriety" signals that there is a fairly definite timeline to the backstory. But see above re: crazy.
I don't think it's possible to overthink continuity where Shawn Ryan shows are concerned.
Something occured to me today. As pissed as Brit is going to be that Hank knew about Katie's indiscretion, he's not going to be real happy finding out that Hank used Brit's half of the Bearer Bonds also to pay for Steph's assisted living. That hasn't hit the fan yet either.
Tonight's Terriers is the one that Tim wrote.
