That made me laugh, too, smonster. I think what I like about this show is it manages to combine the drama and comedy with more than a soupcon of pathos in a well-balanced mix. Even the bad guys are hard to dislike, because they're never totally unrelentingly evil. Or maybe I just like my evil self-aware enough to make deprecating jokes about it and make me laugh at them despite their eviltude.

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
Yeah, I really love the dialogue. It really feels like conversations I`d have with my friends, non-sequitors and all. A lot of stuff happened this episode. I definitely do think "go to the police" is a really really excellent option for them, especially with an ex-partner.
I like that Ceiling Cat didn`t get left hanging too long. But I`m disappointed my noises theory was already debunked, since the sister says she was there three weeks, including at Hank`s previous place. I am a little wary of the character on the Fred/River continuum, but so far so good.
Liese, I share your concerns and agree so far so good.
did everyone know that's Donal Logue's actual sister? cool casting.
Oh, hey. I remember seeing another Logue in the credits, but didn't put it together.
She also had a small role on this week's Bones.
I recognized her from other stuff. so it led me to imdb. apparently she was Denise Rattray on True Blood, Sonya on Justified and somebody on T:tSCC.
No way!
Apparently, some Justified folks were on The Mentalist this week too. (Not that I recognized them.)
Denise Rattray on True Blood
I knew she looked familiar. Gets to work with former co-worker AND her brother. Very cool!
Britt and Hank both make me laugh in equal measure. They are tied for my love right now.
I am a little wary of the character on the Fred/River
Yep. Alarm bells going off all over with the introduction of crazy sister. I think I'm going to like her though.

Aha, me neither! And I also liked the line about breakfast.
I just caught up on Terriers and am digging it for the reasons others have stated.
