I don't really have a security blanket... unless you count Mr. Pointy.

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Although I am behind, I still enjoy it enough to keep watching. I watch during lunch or when I am too tired to read before bed. It purges my mind of my daily stresses, helps me relax and unwind.

I want to get back to this place. I started feeling involved and that just leads to stress because it's not my happy show just now.

I watch a whole week at once, often. Between skipping past commercials, trials and boring-to-me bits, it's still a fast watch.

I don't mind what they are doing with Christina. She's dealing and admitting how messed up things were and, let's be honest, teenagers are a messed up bunch. So if any are watching, hey, a few minutes a day to tell the women that they are not punching bags and the men that neither are they? I am happy to give them that. Really, I wanted to bitchslap Sam over the whole thing but I've got a lot more patience with Christina being all over the place.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Helen Wagner (Nancy Hughes on As the World Turns) passed away. She holds the record as the actress to have played the same role on a soap the longest.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I still feel so weird coming in here with soap announcements. This week begins the story line of Alice's Death on Days of Our Lives. Actors start coming back this week and learning she is in bad health. I don't know the dates of when anything significant is going to happen.

ION,We need more Tim.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh dear, I am going to try and watch DOOL again. Has to be on a delay basis because fast forward will be required. Still, I expect a lot of lovely flashbacks.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Unfortunately that has been true P-C. Although this summer's death wasn't (only a) planned (storyline).

nbc.com community board is reporting Alice dies June 22. Alice’s funeral episodes are June 23, 24, and 25.

So gearing up over the next two weeks.

It's totally the soap thread though.

I might have to watch. My ex-gf loved the show and so I managed to catch a storyline here and there in the five years we were together. Mostly what I remember is that if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's Hope. That and Journey lyrics. But that isn't Days fault.

Also in soap news, Vanessa Marcil is once again rumored to return to GH as Brenda Barrett. They know I am trying to break up with the show, don't they? eta: Huh, they say her first airdate is Aug 11. This might actually be true. GH is an abusive soap opera and I should totally be able to quit it, but... Brenda, man.

Compassionately intolerant

I've slipped back to GH after saying I was quittin' it, but I can't say I'm happy about it.

The Michael attack story is making me want to scream...Get it over with already!

And,frankly, I'm not on anybody's side anymore...not even Spinelli. Coming back for Lucky has turned out to be similarly disappointing.

I wonder if this is what it was like when I got hooked decades ago...just waiting for something interesting to happen, which, much like Godot...

That was a cool tidbit of an article also. Thanks Cass for those dates.
