That feels like a fat joke.
'Hell Bound'
The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
That's why I'm not a writer, but a blogger.
No, Tim -- it's a Walt Whitman thing: you are vast, you contain multitudes.
(Multitudes of PAIN. And good writing.)
(About PAIN.)
I was going for too awesome to be contained, but it went wrong.
I went through official channels and got screeners for Dollhouse, which I had to legally make sure didn't get out on pain of death and/or being lawyered to death. So it does amuse the people who ended up leaking one is, in fact, the network.
Teppy, a Whitman thing and not a Falstaff thing?
Teppy, a Whitman thing and not a Falstaff thing?
Ha! I didn't think of Falstaff!
And I misquoted Whitman slightly: it's "I am large, I contain multitudes." Not "vast."
Does she contradict herself? Very well then she contradicts herself.
(Damn. No consensus on the internets about comma usage there.)
What's the general temperature at Whedonesque? What does their joy translate into in Buffista-speak?
About Dollhouse in general (before this episode): It's mixed. There some displeasure from people who don't like it, there's a hint of squick bothering people, an air of desperate from some people who clearly want to like it but don't really. There's also some people who quite genuinely love it.
