But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My Psych 101 prof put me on the spot one day in front of the whole class and asked me if I would ever hesitate to kill had my unit been called into combat. I told him I'd never thought about it. Felt like an ass for ever having been in the military.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Minor casting thing I shall white out - Check out who's on Tim's epi of Dollhouse: [link] - Yep, the dude who keeps beating up Fillion in Drive.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Speaking of Nathan Fillion (who's not the minor casting thing), I thought the fake ranger sounded oddly like Mal.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Had to rewatch, and, not only was the dialogue and the voice very Mal-ish, but he even had a similar nose! I mean, you couldn't park a Cadillac in it on the silver screen, but... (I love NF's nose, so I notice these things.)

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

The security guy - I don't even know his name - at the very end of the episode when he's talking to Echo, he's acting like Joss. I mean, seriously - check out his speech.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I was watching that episode with a neurologist who rock climbs on the weekends. Commentary flowed. At length.

Heh. I'm so used to Bad Climbing on tv and the movies, I almost don't react anymore. This time I was just glad to see they didn't have them both on toprope for no discernable reason. I could comment at length about the setup, including the fact that there was no real reason she should have fallen there, but whatever. It's like being a cop or lawyer and watchign a procedural: it's just wrong and you have to suck it up.
