Up until the punching, it was a real nice party.

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think it is fascinating that he wanted to get out in front of it before the fandom freaked out. Very interesting.

Me too, Tamara.

And I can actually imagine that conversation happening. Heh.

I wonder if TV would look the same if they could write and shoot in a bubble and neither the craxxies nor the sane fans could get any feedback to them from writing to calling wrap on the season finale.

Isn't British TV more like that? Because don't they have everything in the can before airing, pretty much?

I think it would look like pre-1990s TV.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ayup. Pretty impossible with a 22 episode season and the internet, but that's a whole different world over there.

The ayup was to PC.

I think it would look like pre-1990s TV.

But I think we have more range out there now--riskier things are possible too. I'd like to think that they wouldn't just play it safe as a result.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

My friend works on Doctor Who. That shoots all it's episodes each series before anything airs. The crew are under confidentiality agreements, and very little gets out. For the 2005-2009 run the rule with fans amongst the writers staff was/is to ignore their complaints. (which are constant, and loud)

It's also the BBC's most successful series, pulling in 9 million viewers in the UK regularly.

If anybody is wondering about Dollhouse - one of it's crew told a fan site about what was happening which forced joss' hand I think.

Looks like he was talking to critics and reporters about it last week.

Joss talks to Maureen Ryan about stuff, including the new pilot thing.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Who, me? I'm a collection of pixels.
