So, I still hate my new cable box. I just got, for the second time in a couple of weeks, a message on the TV screen saying, "Cable card failure, please remove and reinsert cable card to continue." So I did, which involves taking out a couple of screws, and was considering calling the cable company to check on it, when I figured I'd google first, and found this: [link] Seriously, Time Warner? The TWC guy who installed my cable card shorted two out the first time he tried it out. These are supposed to be end-user manageable. What's going to happen when they're inserted directly into TVs?

I got to make my coworker sing that last night, organically! Turns out, she has a friend whose husband has made a ton of money writing jingles, and our other friend who doesn't have a tv was like, "They still have jingles??"
