Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Ergh! I confused the Manga Bible with the Shannara manga (I ran into problems with both of them over release dates) If anyone still cares, the link to my review of the Manga Bible can be found here.

Punishingly Intricate

In news of the internet being weird: one of the pictures in my flickr set of my new niece that I posted Sunday night has gotten a TON of views. Like over 470. And the set as a whole has gotten a bunch of views and the individual pictures in the set have each gotten way more than normal for me. I can't figure out why and it's freaking me out some.

I don't hate today yet. But it looks like I might.

I'm teaching 5 classes today for a teacher who is out. It's oddly thrilling.I remember feeling like this in my student teaching days. It's easier to be a good teacher when I teach one day a month than when I teach 20.

Speaking of the internet... on the radio yesterday a host warned that people might find their online pledging system problematic because "our internet is down, like a lot of internets after yesterday's storm." Yes, many internets were down in Virginia.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

The basement is flooded and we have no hot water. So I'm boiling water on the stove for a bath, Little House on the Prairie style.

I was at therapy yesterday and the doctor asked if I had friends. I was like, "Do I have friends?" And tried to count all the little people in the box aka axe-murderers, and lost count (in my head). I said "yeah, I'm all good."

Oh man, BTDT, I'm sorry. It sucks.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

That happened to me too (and it was a terrible picture). I figured it was on the front page for a bit. But power users would know better than my speculating.

Now tagless for your comfort.

It depends on the tags on the flickr photos. The ones of my broken toe got over 400 hits--it's tagged "toes" so I'm assuming fetishists cruising the site have been downloading my scruffy pedicure and bruised pinkie toe.

The one of Olivia naked in the backyard pool got over 700 hits and I yanked it because it creeped me out beyond belief. I don't tag my kids' photos and am more selective of which ones I put up.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

When one of my pictures started getting a lot of hits, I was able to find out the site that was linking to it via technorati.

If you're a Flickr Pro user, you can now see your referral stats, but you have to wait 24 hours to see who is linking to you.
