Compassionately intolerant

Ginger/sesame/rice vinegar/soy is another fabulous taste combination that's all too often oversweetened and de-everything-else-ified.

My very favorite tossed with shredded cabbage and carrot. Yumumnummy

I'm with amych on the mayo hate. No idea why, but I've never been able to put it in my mouth without an automatic abort!reject!wretch impulse.

not your mom's socks.

Emily - are you limited to PC font packs? My picks would be Officina, Abadi (not my fave, but ...), Futura Condensed, Helvetica light, and maybe Gill Sans light, though it has more width on some of the letterforms than most of the others above.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Mayonnaise is generally evil, except for the minimum amount it takes to hold together tuna or chicken salad.

I love mayo. Salty goodness.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm with Ginger about the mayo. The only time I can tolerate it if it isn't mixed with enough tuna, chicken, or other stuff to mask its flavor entirely is with pickle & pimento loaf on a sandwich.

Hey! I have heat! And water! And, well, the TV's been on all day, so I walked in to '80s music. Hooray!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Have made dinner.

Have WASHED pots and pans dirtied by dinner prep.

Have to leave at 6:30 for rehearsal.

If husband isn't home in five minutes, I am eating dinner.

Y'all, I really don't want to have to find a new dentist. It's probably a $1K difference. BUT. I just looked at the treatment plan and estimate from the 1/08 visit. They list the former (PDP) rates. And at the bottom it says "fee expiration date 8/24/08." Hmm. I mean, the insurance wasn't going to cover the remaining costs (they only allow for one crown in some ridiculous number of years. Crap insurance.) However, their agreement with the dentist was for a rate cheaper than the non-PDP one.

I don't want to be an ass, but this is all shit out of my control.
