Sleeping. Ooh, and catching up on my Dr. Who. And probably glutting myself on L&O:CI, as well, because I just can't keep my eyes off D'Onofrio! Donofrio?

Going climbing in Joshua Tree. So there will be two whole days wherein I don't take 27 thousand pictures of some little dude, shown here, practicing his public transit riding.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

apparently [Obama]'s really skinny

Male model!! ...Probably two decades too old.

The thing about that $600 is, it's like not withholding enough money, except when you really do that they do penalties and charge you interest (and yet, you're never allowed to charge the federal government interest when the withholding is too much). So really, it's a question of who gets to make interest on that $600: you or the federal government.

For all values of 1% interest accruing over half a year, so it's $3 more or less we're talking about.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My knee's been bugging the hell out of me (all that walking on uneven ice/slush?) so I think I'll try to stay off my feet the whole weekend.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

ACK. That is sad.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So what are people doing this weekend?

Unearthing the dining table from a heap of books and clothing alteration projects, and then moving a lot of furniture. (We're getting a new TV! And some new bookcases! Good heavens, our house might actually be organized at some point in the near future!)

The most amusing part of our getting a new TV is that, in order to figure out the best new configuration for the living room and dining room (that is about to become a library), Pete measured both rooms and all the furniture, and has spent days playing what I call Photoshop Dollhouse. So many potential layouts! Each different by a tiny tiny bit!

The usual--trying to clean and do laundry tonight, work at the bookstore tomorrow, stay warm and indoors while either sleeping or organizing my bedroom drawers and closet (depending on how much energy I have) on Sunday (it's supposed to get all the way up to 5 degrees that day, so I'm not going out unless I have to).

We (and by "we," I mean "The Boy") did that before I moved, with Google SketchUp.

Have you put all of your books into Library Thing yet, Jilli? It's a great way to get a handle on your books, and I like having the list available for insurance purposes.

My mom does this (the old-fashioned way--on graph paper using a pencil) every time she moves so she can tell the movers exactly where to put everything.
