Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Grump! You gave us that one too, Kat! And yeah, it's fabulous. I love how frazzled the mom looks.

Where is my husband? sigh. He's only an hour late, but I miss him.

Oh, and to continue the random, cilantro is yummy in salads and stir fries.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

The problem with teachers as parents is that they've already bought all the cool books for their kids.

HA. That is a problem. Grump is such a fun book to read. Apparently one night K woke me up to go get the baby and I said something about "pum pum pum on the rump" which is from that book. We read it way too often.

It's also a problem in my family, as we too often get ourselves the same books we'd like to give to the rest. I try to get books for them I don't have so if they DO have them, I get to keep them. Heh. They get to me eventually anyway!

Thanks for the fanmail link. Sent it to mom, who should get a kick (and an idea) out of it.

I have straightened my house like no joke tonight. Tomorrow it gets cleaned and I left detailed instructions which I have not done in a while.

I also ironed, which I loathe. Only 3 things, but still.

Okay, those of you who actually *like* cilantro: what do you use it in, when cooking? We got a bunch of it in our organic produce delivery today, and I have no idea what to do with it.

I sprinkle it onto beef and into pasta mixes and couscous (goes great with kalamata olives in the latter).

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

23 5 year olds. Because if it comes to being swarmed by tiny opponents, I quickly lose any moral center I may have.

I think everyone should get the Scary Godmother books for kids, but I'm way biased about them.

I need to go visit the new baby again. I saw him almost 2 weeks ago, but L sent me a vid of him and his 5 year old brother and I miss them all lots. It all changes so fast.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I like cilantro on chicken soup, but this kind of fits in with the Thai idea, because my favorite chicken soup is Thai. It's good chopped up in salads. One of my favorite restaurants uses several largish sprigs as garnish, and I eat them up. nom nom nom, cilantro!

It's weird, because I don't think I had ever even heard of cilantro until after college, and now I love it.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

tabouleh, salsa, guac, soup, pasta salad...anything lime makes better, cilantro embetters.

Emmett loved them.

And in fact, the Scary Godmother stationary you used to send him those cool ghoulish pop up books when he was a wee kidling is still up on the fridge.
