Well, it makes it harder, on a variety of levels. I mean, do we go for the drastic credit counseling option that takes away our credit cards and, I believe, leaves a permanent demerit on our financial history?
Please do not do credit counseling. Someone said upthread, it's not that they are crooks, it's that you can do it on your own and it will be less work in the end. I have a credit guide somewhere I can send to you if you'd like, and offer any help I can. I've just seen far too many people get into credit counseling and it takes them much longer to repair it.
Y'all can do this.

I think I'm going to try to get through today without complaining once. I think I'm good so far. Of course I haven't really spoken to anyone out loud...except my dad and I didn't complain to him! which is quite an accomplishment for me!
