I get confused. I remember everything. I remember too much, and... some of it's made up, and... some of it can't be quantified, and... there's secrets.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When you're the one doing the changing. Not so much.

Well, sure, but these are the kinds of things we have to suffer through so that they can become funny later.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

She made her cleaning lady scrub the grout between the tiles on the kitchen floor with a toothbrush.

Did she stand over her with a weapon in hand until the task was done? Because that's the only method that would work with me, and there'd only be one opportunity for it to do so.

It is now snowing downtown. Big gross glops of snow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

"As you can see from this description, this argument is extraordinarily [tenuous, I guess]."

not your mom's socks.

However, I didn't refrain from doing work for myself, reading, or being on the phone if the baby was sleeping.

Of course not. Actually, it's good downtime. I encouraged that too when we had a nanny.

When mothers were there at the same time, I made sure that they were not disturbed if at all possible.

I think we went waaaaay beyond that today. thanks you guys. I needed this.

Good grief. I remember the cottonball story which casts her a definitely a little odd, but it sounds like she was a much more all around loon.

Let's just say that I was very happy when I switched to the woman who was an editor at Gourmet magazine.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sox, that is utter bullshit and I'd complain to the agency AND tell the babysitter why you weren't going to be asking her back.

I think if Hillary wins the nomination she should go with Evan Bayh. I know he doesn't have the name recognition, but he's a safe, moderate Democrat from a red state.

Liv and I had some DQ soft serve (it's not technically ice cream is it?)

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

What was the name of that other midwestern fellow people used to talk about? The guy whose name was unfortunately close to "nutsack."
