DH is planning on getting Irish citizenship at some point, and I'm pretty sure there's no problem with having that and his American citizenship.
Yeah, Tom would never give up his UK citizenship- for a long time he thought he'd have to and had no plans to apply for US citizenship, but he found out that was not the case a couple years ago. I think he has to have his green card for a certain number of years first, though- maybe 4 years?
What was the rationale for requiring people to give up their original citizenship to get an American one?

Man, I'd forgotten about 8th graders. Mostly, they sit there like a lump while I give my spiel, but there are always a couple girls giggling in the back, making me worry I've spilled coffee down my front or left my fly open or something. I'm pretty sure they're just being 8th-grade girls, but it's unnerving anyway.

Yeah, I think that's it... if you have citizenships for 2 countries, how loyal could you be to this one? (this is just my theory)

For some reason this reminds me of an argument against dating a bisexual....
I fell asleep in bed with mac at 9 last night, and moved to my own bed at 10. Woke up at 3:30, then 5:30, then 6 with mac. STILL TIRED. stoopid body.
Sorta' like Easter Island, but with giant stone jars: [link]
No one knows who made the jars, where they came from, or what they are for/what they signify.
In Laos. If you go there, watch out for unexploded American bombs....
