CNN is projecting Huckabee on the GOP side.

God. Huckabee.
Ugh.
Well, it's not like there's a non-ugh option on that side...
What's REALLY interesting, IMHO, is that Hillary is in 3rd so far, though it's still too close to call between her and Edwards.
The Democrat portion is narrow all around, so I'm not that impressed by Obama winning. Huckabee coming out that far ahead is interesting, because front runners at this stage often crash and burn. Plus I think the rest of the country looks at Huckabee, thinks Presidency, and laughs.
These are the GOP voters who showed up:
A third are over 65, and nearly 75 percent are over the age of 45... The numbers also show a heavy turnout amongst evangelical Christians — over 60 percent.
Which other states have a caucus?
Washington, for one.
Yeah, but by the time we hold our caucus the candidate has been chosen.
Obama won by a bigger margin than expected. With most precincts reporting:
- Senator Barack Obama : 37.18%
- Senator John Edwards : 30.00%
- Senator Hillary Clinton : 29.58%
That's got to be a statistical dead heat for Clinton and Edwards.
