I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, bread trauma. I didn't have quite enough flour, as it turns out. So the first time I kneaded, it was more like sticking and scraping and flopping and sticking. Do I need to use the 20 minutes it's now resting for to go buy more flour, or will it work itself out?

Edit: Oh, it says "flour" many more times in the recipe. Off to the store I go...

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I have cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen (while singing along with showtunes, which is working quite well for me)

Next comes either the bedroom or the living room.

First answer gets to determine the course of the rest of my day.

Feel the awesome power that lies in your hands. It almost counts as accomplishing something all by itself, if your Saturday happens to be short on things accomplished.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Clean the room you spend more time in.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Altogether, or while I'm awake?

Art Crawl!!!

I walked all over town - pharmacy, post office, landlord's office, and treated myself with a trip to the yarn store where they were having a Super Bowl sale! 30% off everything.

I bought what I need to make that baby sweater for my friend's baby (not born yet) and staggered home. (Damn, I'm weak.) I think I tired my muscles trudging through snow drifts yesterday. Maybe this was actually good for me.

The bad news: I still need to buy groceries and I left the pattern for the baby sweater at the yarn store so I must go back.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yay yarn, boo having to re-play the level.

Sox or sarameg, if you're around, did you hear that WYPR has fired Steiner??? It's shocking!

I know! It's so wrong. I was really bugged in the sun article about how now they've expanded to OC and Fredrick, that there was too much a Baltimore focus. Fucking hell, it's the only decent media outlet that does cover the city. And Steiner is like...an institution. They are so dumb.

Death-glare in your head at Brandon for me, Sox.

I do wonder at the fallout.

(and I really don't like the host of Maryland Morning. She's a terrible interviewer.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Worst Building in the History of Mankind

It's the Ryugyong Hotel in North Korea, where the world's 22nd largest skyscraper has been vacant for two decades and is likely to stay that way ... forever.

A picture doesn't lie -- the one-hundred-and-five-story Ryugyong Hotel is hideous, dominating the Pyongyang skyline like some twisted North Korean version of Cinderella's castle. Not that you would be able to tell from the official government photos of the North Korean capital -- the hotel is such an eyesore, the Communist regime routinely covers it up, airbrushing it to make it look like it's open -- or Photoshopping or cropping it out of pictures completely.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Damn that hotel's big. And ugly.

My eyes just got suddenly and unaccountably very red and irritated.

I think I got eye cancer.

Probably from bon.
