"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Did we promise not to bite? Was there a vote?

Apparently it's in the FAQ. I think most of the FAQ came before voting.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Welcome, elizabethchloe!

I'm on day six.

You should feel more life-like in the next couple of days. I'm at the end of week 2 and even the cough is almost gone.

I have no plans for the evening. I'm thinking that watching the snow fall and reading or movie watching with a hot drink and cuddly cats sounds pretty good.

sadly, the rock I lurk under made it so that I was only vaguely aware that the book existed (slumps in shame)

hmmm, perhaps Numfar-ing would be better than slumping in this case, let me know

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's right, I meant to pick up some copies of Vampire People for relatives, but there's still time on that....

Now tagless for your comfort.

We have new cell phone numbers thanks to Alltel. Crap. And the online account site will not let me update the numbers or create My Circle. Fuckos.

We also have a new snow thrower.

I declare Arby's cheesecake poppers to be delish.

Welcome, elizabethchloe.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Tonight, Tom and I are going to a party next door that is having an 80s themed murder mystery thing. I'm supposed to play "Glammy May Cooker" who is the wife of a disgraced televangelist and ALSO the president of the Prince and the Revolution fan club.

So, um, it should be funny. Hopefully. Better than stupid small talk?

elizabethchloe - Dec 31, 2007 1:24:05 pm PST #76 of 10001

does the 80s party require a costume?

all costumes must include tinfoil hats

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds awesome, Nora.

yes, I'm supposed to dress up like, well, Tammy Faye Bakker. I think it will mostly be acheived through makeup and shoulder pads.

Here's the description of the character:

Glammy Ray Cooker is the wife of TV Evangelist James Cooker. She is the head of the Prince and the Revolution fan club and is a compulsive gambler. She has a lacrimal gland dysfunction and her eyes constantly water and streak mascara down her heavily made-up face. Some say she streams tears for sympathy because her husband is dealing with multiple scandals in the media.
