You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Scary.

Huh?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've never made regular bread, just the no-knead.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

You should try it, it's actually pretty fun.

Yeah, maybe I will. I keep seeing recipes that start with scalding milk, and that weirds me out, so.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

... But given a good speaker with an authoritative presentation, I'm not surprised there was hesitation! But what is great is that you then engaged and drew out their concerns; that's more likely to convince your audience in the longer term.

One thing that I appreciate in an opposing argument is the willingness of the arguee to respect me and want to sway me instead of telling me how wrong I am.

Thanks. Yes, I think respect for non-crazy opposing views is essential. As a practical matter, this is even more true when the opposing views are a majority view, and the view you are advancing is a minority one.

I'm taking the camera so there will be pictures. I've probably lost my mind. But it's for Special Olympics so it's a good cause.

Punishingly Intricate

Go you!!! I was thinking I might want to do one of these sometime.

I went to a 45-minute spin class this morning and it kind of didn't feel like enough of a workout. weird. Either I did it wrong or I'm too used to 90 minute hard yoga classes.

Sox or sarameg, if you're around, did you hear that WYPR has fired Steiner??? It's shocking!
