Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Poor sick Noah!

Actually, the answer turned out to be no. So there!

Oh no, poor Noah (& his family!) That really sucks.

I love it that my neighborgirl calls to tell me that she made the honor roll, got a science award and placed third in the school's spelling bee!

Very proud of her & tickled that I'm an important person to tell.

Our wings are not tired.

This is the thread to talk about duct tape after all. Bobby thought it was a good idea to use duct tape like a mask, and his big brother did not discourage him at all. It took me quite a bit of time to get it off of him and cut out of his hair, I was concerned we would lose eyebrows. It cost him pictures too. [link] [link]

Ah, parenthood.

The status is NOT quo.

Kristin, I took the 10. It took an hour to get home. Almost exactly an hour, actually. Which is par for the course. But I'm off 26th at work, so it made sense.
I snuck out at 3:30 and was home by 4:45, so not as bad as I'd feared.
Noah is STILL at the doctors office. K took him to his appointment at 1:15. Apparently they were thinking about admitting him to the hospital but they are short staffed so nope. He'll come home and go back tomorrow. They think pneumonia. It's going to be a long night, isn't it?
Oh hon, that sucks. {{{Kat & K & Noah & Grace too}}}

Laura, I'm so sorry.

One of the sucky parts of parenting, and there are many, is that when the kids are grounded you are grounded too. Tonight is DH's pool night so I made a plan to go hang with a GF and have some drinks with Lost. Now I can't go because I have to stay and make sure my son is adequately miserable. No cell phone, no computer, no life. I have the phone and I could take the router. I don't know. I'll see when the time comes.

Rotten kid loves reading so even when I take all the electronic stuff away he still gets lost in some book. I can't take away books.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Make him write a report for every book he reads.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Gah. Doc isn't sure what it is. Could be meningitis? They wanted to do a spinal tap. Um. No. Not until you rule everything else that might be reasonable out. Tonight we are supposed to go to urgent care at midnight to have his pulse ox read. I loathe urgent care (the people who told K she had strept when she actually had mono). Feh.
