I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Tonight is dance practice, so I'm not watching anything on tv. (Even if I were at home tonight, I wouldn't watch the SoTU speech)

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Good luck with the car, sarameg. I hate having car repair issues (knock on wood, so far I've been lucky with my 2-year-old Civic).

Speaking of, I was just doing a general budget (estimated income and fixed/estimated outgo) for the next few years, trying to figure how much I can put into savings and how much I can add to my car payment, and figured that, if I keep my B&N gig and my full-time job, and if expenses don't go through the roof for anything unexpected (say, car or cat issues, or even my own health), I can get my car paid off ten months early and can get $10K in savings by the time my car was scheduled to be paid off! That's with a few (cheap) vacations scheduled in each year, and a generous general expenses figure per month that I can shave down if need be for emergencies. I'm printing it out to see if I can stick to it.

Now let's hope that I can keep my jobs...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Coming to a US Navy warship by 2020 (assuming materials can be invented that are strong enough so it won't destroy itself).

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Somebody tell me I want to audition for something tonight even though they might not let me and I wouldn't get it anyway.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Dana, you should audition. And then have ice cream.

Aw, lisah, thanks! It really isn't too bad a hike- only 20 minutes or so. Only sucks when the weather does, which it shouldn't tomorrow.

I'm having bananas, applesauce and toast for dinner. I don't really like applesauce. I'm trying to reset my gut after Saturday's dinner went so horribly wrong. Yesterday I had toast and plain noodles, and that was it. Sandwich at lunch today seems to have not been a mistake, but I'm being careful.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hi.

I am oddly unmotivated to do any more work today.

Anyone want to play FCM?

Because books.
