Okra is too good for Bush.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I had one of those as a kid. I loved playing with it.

Speaking of office weapons, I just read a profile of this guy: [link] who recently published this book, Eccentric Cubicle: [link]

I want my own lucid dream induction device, but I wouldn't put it in my cubicle.

Speaking of the SotU speech - the Washington Post says tonight's speech will "probably" be Bush's last.

Washington Post Reveals Bush Will Be President Forever

That is the problem Bush faces as he prepares to deliver his seventh and probably final State of the Union address tonight.

Is it at Brentwood, by any chance? My car got it's money eating repairs there last month and it seemed like they were always really slow to call me to give updates. so annoying.

Ahaha! YES! And so it isn't just my paranoia! I figured I was being neurotic because I always end up calling them before they call me. They called me back a few minutes later (as they always do!) When I was already in my meeting.

The good news is it isn't that bad. Thank goodness.

I like 'em because even with the phone-issues, they really really try to keep the repairs to under a day. And they saved me a lot of money buying cars. So.

eta: and they don't treat me like a crazy lady when my car gaslights me. They may think I'm one, but they keep that hidden.

So who's not watching the SotU speech tonight?

I'll be in Wicker Park, drinking beer and laughing at the teenies. And I will be in Wicker Park tomorrow night doing the same thing, although possibly dying of exposure considering that we're supposed to get another arctic blast on Tuesday.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

So who's not watching the SotU speech tonight?

Me! I'll be doing, uh, ANYTHING else. Unless my father insists on watching it, but I think I might gently absent myself in that case.
