Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's really very simple --

Male butt = funny = OK for prime time!

Female butt = sexay = OHNOESWON'TSOMEBODYTHINKOFTHECHILDREN???!!!!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Like ... I have a presentation I need to do that's 10 slides. I draw ten blank squares on a sheet of paper and then make brief notes for what each is going to contain. Introduction, Example, Conclusion, Sources. Kind of like an outline, but in squares.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Not generally, but I have on occasion. It's helpful if you haven't really worked out your message yet.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Outlines then slides? I totally do. Helps me work to the right length, and allot the different sections their correct proportions.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I kind of outline on the slides -- make the headings I think I want first, see if I still want them.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Awesome. This is only the second or third time I've done a presentation and it's good to see that others who use it more frequently find this technique helpful.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I follow the Jesse method. Did that a lot for school presentations, especially on team projects. It helped to divide up the work. Created blank slides with just the heading.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I just want to take a moment to say that FNL's Taylor Kitsch was cute like a thing that is cute judging part of the skills competition at the NHL All-Star weekend events yesterday.

I think the universe is trying to kill me with all my too-young tv crushes resolving to have outside interests that line up with mine. I do not know that I can handle hockey-fan Taylor and blues-singing Gareth in such close succession. It may be excessive adorable.

I spent the afternoon dozing off & on, on the couch with Baby T. Considering I hadn't slept well due to a evil bout of heartburn, this was basically the ideal way to spend the day: warm sleepy baby and naps.

I went over so the other two could have some parent-time without the baby, who is at that limpet stage. It was a success and I expect I'll get called to do it in the future.

Seriously, as much as Miss P loves her new brother and they have to watch her to keep her from taking on too much mothering, she's also aware he's a competitor for time and focus. She's been writing these awesome, heartbreaking notes:"I need to talk to you about how I'm feeling, but I don't know if I can explain." and then a picture of a parent holding the crying baby and P on the stairs, waving around behind their backs. Kid, you did a pretty good job there. And she's doing it as notes, not acting out, which blows my mind.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Goddammit, I just found out that a friend of ours from the filk community died in a house fire last night. His wife and stepdaughter weren't home at the time, but they've lost everything.

2008, you're on notice.
