But if the world doesn't end, I'm gonna need a note.

Oh brave boy! I HATED the interim where it was loose but I didn't have the nerve to yank it. Lucky for me, 7 of my teeth weren't coming out on their own and the dentist did the deed with novocain. The front top 2 and bottom 3 did their own thing. And it sucked.

Also, he's such a beautiful child. Really, truly.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I definitely need to commit horseplay with that kid.

"World's funniest joke". I really like the first one, and I think the second one has a lot of potential, but is phrased poorly.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I occasionally lurk over on DailyKos, and the latest SC results thread just pointed out that the Democratic turnout exceeded the GOP last week by a good 60,000. In South Carolina.

I'm actually feeling cautiously optimistic about November. (I say "cautiously" only because my party has been so good at snatching the defeat from the jaws of victory. I'll believe there's going to be a Democratic president when I'm watching him or her taking the oath of office next January and not before.)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Aww. Toothless Mac makes me smile.

I just found an immigration record for my great-grandfather. Coming into the US through Galveston, Texas. This is very weird. I know from the census records that about a year after that he was living in NYC. No clue how or why he went from Galveston to New York.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But he had also heard about that method in Eth from boys with older brothers.

Phew. It's too stupid an idea not to be international, apparently.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Those jokes all kind of made me laugh. I just tried to google this "gesture debate" joke I knew in high school, and not only would it be impossible to describe in text, it was ungooglable using those terms. Ah well.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It seems like the lesson of this election cycle is: "Polling numbers have bollocks to do with actual results."

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I LOVE the mac pictures. How great is he? I love the end one, with him asleep.

I'm organizing stuff for a stuffswap tomorrow and for a consignment sale. Then I check meetup and the stuffswap is cancelled. CRAP.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Feh. Are they going to reschedule at all?

Hey, did you guys like the cheese puffs?
