Jesse, I'll gladly pay you Thursday for Buffistas today. Aka, I'll be sending a payment on the 31st (which is when I get paid).
Awesome. Thanks! And the address is donations at buffistas dot org.
Things you do not want to read in a memo from your kid's school:
"An individual in your child's school has been diagnosed with fifth disease."
Which I read as filth disease and was really bothered about because 1) gross 2) why the hell would we allow something to be called filth disease in 2008.
Anyhoo it seems to be a basically harmless untreatable thing, so there you go.
I'm hoping to be able to pay off all my debts (including car) by 2010. At least now that I'm not hemorrhaging money at the pump every second day I have a chance to actually spend the credit cards down instead of up.
Filth disease -- ha! I mean, ugh. Or phew.
Also, I love that pizza article for including the New England Greek pizza! You never see that discussed anywhere.
I have been living paycheck to paycheck in the "one missed check and I can't pay the mortgage" sense. I spent a lot of last year paying off credit cards. It wasn't even that large an amount, but for a while what I could pay toward it was less than the charges I'd add in a month. That got paid off in December, and then this month I finally got some backpay I'd been owed, which made a big difference. So my financial goals for this year are to pay off any balance on the credit card each month, and finish paying off the HELOC (which should be done by the end of this year, possibly sooner). And then actually build up more savings. I'll still have the mortgage & condo fee as fixed expenses but I can't really do anything about that.
But I'm feeling relatively flush now, which is a nice change. (So Jesse: done.)
I don't have an ATM card. Because if I did, I wouldn't realize how much I was spending. I probably get cash twice a month, and try to pay for day-to-day expenses out of that.
I'm thinking of, at long last, making the Clinical Depression MixI made a series of mixes like that in HS. One was called "The Bell Jar Mix" but I don't recall what was on it. I'm sure The Cure, Pink Floyd, & NIN were represented heavily.
Oh, and also the Boomtown Rats! "Diamond Smiles" and "Wind Chill Factor Minus Zero." ("Like Clockwork" went on the Insanity mix.)
Couch looks so so nice! But I noticed that he got lots of water on the just cleaned floor.
"I Hate Everyone" -Get Set Go
"Somedays" -Meredith Brooks
I had to stop off on the way home and get a margherita pizza.
