Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Was this the thread where someone talked about wanting a blog or website outlining regional variations of various foods?

Here's someone's attempt at classifying pizza: [link]

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've decided to make next week's shared work playlist all songs about money. I'm thinking of calling it "No Lawyers or Guns".

I'm thinking of, at long last, making the Clinical Depression Mix

Any suggestions? This is surely the crowd to ask!

"Clinical Depression" songs can involve: actually clinically depressed (No Rain), embittered and depressed (I Am A Rock), or anything that makes you wonder "what the fuck am I doing with my life?"

Cleaning peeps are gone (house is CLEAN!!) and rug/upholstery cleaner is here now. My couch is going to be bright, shiny red again instead of dull, dark red! I feel like we should have company what with the house being so nice and shiny.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Jesse, I'll gladly pay you Thursday for Buffistas today. Aka, I'll be sending a payment on the 31st (which is when I get paid).

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

How about "Under the Bridge" by RHCP? It's a two-fer--depression and addiction!

Susan, that's a neat article on regional pizza. I liked that he noted Chicago thin crust, which is actually more popular here than deep dish or stuffed (at least, it's what's usually ordered for delivery). I like it much better than NYC-style, with its more intense tomato sauce, sausage (no pepperoni for me, please!), and cracker crust (why would you bend a piece of pizza, anyway?).

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My Esteemed Past Employer used to do monthly paychecks, which I quite liked, since it was less trips to the bank and all. But then the company changed hands a couple times, and they did away with the monthly pay schedule on the basis that since they were bringing in new people on a biweekly schedule, it would be "too hard" for the accountants to keep straight.

All of a piece with the other unfriendly and/or just plain stupid decisions they made (like changing to SAP) all of which cumulated (from my POV, anyway) in my being laid off. Feh.
