It's just so much easier to keep my spending down when I use actual cash. I have $20 left in my wallet, so that's how much I have to spend for the rest of the month.
I'd do it this way if I had easier access to ATM machines affiliated with my bank (and therefore fee-free). As is, I'd have to carry more cash than I'm comfortable having on my person, given where I live and especially where I work, just to have enough to get me between ATM visits.
I need to go out and get lunch, since I forgot to bring mine.
BUT IT IS SO COLD AND RAINY. And I am so small and wimpy.
This baby Boston terrier is too cute.
(And we're so above 0 here that even the windchill is above 0!)
My house is being professionally cleaned right now AIFG!!!!!
It's sunny and not too terribly cold here! (Not to brag.) I was just talking about how depressed I got the first year we had real SF winter when I lived out there and not drought winter. It rained every freaking day. That was way worse then Mid-Atlantic winter where at least we have some bright, if cold, days mixed in.
I ated too much lunch I think. Or maybe it was the green tea chai. Delicious but too filling. blergh.
Ours haven't been done yet. It's a pool of a set percentage for a small number of people, so to give someone a bit extra you have to take away from somebody else. I expect the pool to be about 3% though.
We do 1 - 3 in university land. 2 % is the norm and 3% is extra special. Mostly, you need to move to a new position to get an increase that is larger than that.
ooh one of my bosses just walked over to say he was going to happy hour around the corner. to invite us I mean, not to brag. sweet!
Something near 30% of my income comes bi-weekly but the rest of it varies wildly. I didn't get anything else for the first half of Jan but I should have 3-4 additional checks in the next couple of weeks. My budgeting is like my bowling approach. If I overanalyze it I get all screwed up.
ION, Tommy Tune is in the building today. I haven't seen him yet though.
