I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Second Coming of Shark Jesus. Yep, another one.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There was a First Coming?

Don't screw with me so early in the morning, man. It could get ugly, fast.

There was a First Coming?

Yep. There've been two immaculately conceived shark babies in the last year or so....

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Super MoM!!!

Dylan going backwards. (Apologies in advance for how loud my voice is on this - the mic on this camera only picks up things at a VERY close range.)

not your mom's socks.

Allyson - I know I'm late on weighing in, but you're not being snotty if you send your book, or an excerpt. If you can, you might want to see if you could speak with admissions to know what's the right way to handle it ... or even drop the head of the department section that is offering online communities courses an email and open a conversation that way - if he/she answers, you've made a connection and have insider information. if not, not a big deal.

fwiw, an MFA is also considered a terminal degree. I'm not sure, but don't journalism schools take professional experience into account when they're looking at teaching staff?

happy birthday msbelle!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Today's pluses: Sitting in a corner office. Great view.

Today's minuses: My 9AM meeting, which has moved times several times at this point, is theoretically still on for 9, except my boss guy is trying to get it pushed later in the day. I don't actually care, though 9AM would be more convenient, but I'd like to *know*. Plus, I got up early to make it here on time.

Went to the soda machine to buy something with caffeine. Someone grabbed me and pointed me to a fridge full of soda. Then I got yelled at by the admin for taking the soda designated for a specific purpose, and the guy who'd pointed me at the fridge was of course long gone.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Wow- I am really out of it today. I went home sick yesterday, slept from noon yesterday until 6 this morning and I am at work. And I think I am floating outside of my body. Also, I ripped my down coat on the bus AND I burned/melted a suit jacket morning ironing it. I think maybe I need to go back home and go back to bed.
