It was really. well, surreal doesn't explain it. It was just. IS.
Like I said, I was a bit strangely detattched. It was huge. Logically, I knew it was huge and I'll process that eventually. But there was me, with the cam (as requested, worst videotaping ever, because I don't know how to do that! and hey, I'd seen L naked when she's needed an epipen when 5 wks preggers with Miss P and freaked out and oh hell, I hope they are less prudish than me cause I got a lot) and my hand on Miss P, seeing if she was freaking, and L's distress and splurt BABY NOW and fluids splurt (um, is my mom peeing? Nope, that's his bath )and omigoodness, BABY. AND HE'S AWARE. And peeing everywhere!
It's hitting. I saw a baby born. And held his big sister's hand. And she rocked it. She was a part of it. She saw her brother born and loved it and helped her mom and she just rocked!
There is a couple of pix with me I adore, but I haven't uploaded . Until then, the fascinated big sister: [link]
She ROCKS.
Awww.
sara, you and Miss P totally rock. Good on you!
That sounds all very cool, sara!
Cash, that rocker is too too cute and the hall trees are amazing and beautiful.
Melted. Aww sarameg, the pictures are precious. What a beautiful thing to be a part of. She is going to be a great big sis.
but she just wanted him OUT
Yeah, it gets a bit desperate there at the end. If she is anything like me she will love the videotape. You don't really see anything as the mom, and are more than a bit distracted. Watching afterwards was incredible. That's me poppin' out a baby! (The video is also a great threat for Brendon as I offer to show it at gatherings to his horror)
That's like ANTI-proof of February's goodness.
Ooops. I was thinking along the lines of candy goodness. My dad was born on Valentine's day so it was always a fun day.
Welcome back Allyson!
Sara, what an amazing experience!
Argh! It's my mom's birthday tomorrow and I wanted to give her some framed photos. So I sent some pics through the interweb to be printed to a processing place in the grocery store near my house. On the web site, it said they would be printed in 24 hours, but now the confirmation email says that it will take up to 14 business days! Trying to get a gift for my mom has been an incredibly frustrating experience this weekend. I am still waiting for part of her Xmas present that I had to exchange for a smaller size.
14 business days is ridiculous.
Cookies that look like sushi. Yum!
Sara, what a cool thing to do. (I was adamant that the video cameras be put away before my delivery began. I didn't want pictures.)
