You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just remembered I can get hot and sour soup on the corner, so add that to my weekend plans.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just remembered I'm bussing home tonight, and that means I get off right by two Italian places...

But first I have to get through a meeting with the boss. Was supposed to be 4:30-5:30, but he had to delay by half an hour.

I'm so sleepy...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

because of way earlier discussion here mac and I had waffles for dinner. They were the yum and I think we have enough for breakfast.

ION, Poor noodle got another note home, there was one last Friday also. Will not stay in his seat and doesn't pay attention well enough. I did not get mad and honestly it may be a losing battle - there is a bully in his class and he is one of two boys that are the targets of the bully. Not staying in his seat is often getting up from the carpet/mat to move away from the bully who comes to sit by him, BUT he is supposed to wait and raise his hand and only move once the teacher has called on him blah blah blah.

IOON, I have a slight fever and everything above my upper lip feels like it might detach from my body and explode. My ears keep closing up just sitting here. I think I might just take the night time meds before I read to mac so they will be in full force when my head hits the pillow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't have any nighttime meds! I hope I sleep anyway. The main active ingredient in the old-school Nyquil was the booze anyway, right?

In other news, I have a new coworker who could give some of our wee members a run for their money -- she's 4'9"! But wears enormous heels all the time, apparently, because I thought she was just regular short.

ita, we have to drop my mom off at LAX for her flight. We're leaving here at 8. Will you be up for visitors (and TV pick up) after we drop her off?

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

So what are people doing this weekend?

Tonight: DH an I are watching TV with the dog. Not that exciting, however, DH has been on midnight shifts all week and school has kicked my butt his week.

Tomorrow: Nail apt at 9:30. I'm trying to decide on using "Hyde In the Dark" from Creative Nails Imperial Anarchy collection, or "Bruise" from Urban Decay. Then DH wants to go to the classic car show at Silver Springs in Ocala. We'll probably go to dinner and, maybe, a movie.

Sunday: lesson plans and tons of paperwork. Exams for the first semester are next week on Thursday and Friday. I still have 1 Exam to write.

Not javachik

I'm having a hard time returning to work after the holidays. Still.

So what are people doing this weekend?

Hmm, I wonder what Sheryl is doing? Heh.

Good grief, msbelle, I hope you feel better soon. Meddling: maybe you can talk Scola into taking Mac to the museum so you can sleep!

Little Suri Cruise is not even 2 yet, but already mom Katie Holmes says, "She's a very strong woman." "She's actually teaching me a lot – probably more than I'm teaching her." "She's very smart and strong," Holmes concluded. "And really magical."

It’s rooted in the idea that children, especially one with a non-traumatic birth, are more theta than people (including children) who have accumulated a bank of engrams. Remember that the philosophy believes in reincarnation. To be born their daughter, well, it’s sort of like Nepalese lamas being discovered at age 3, like that. She’s automatically more magical than other kids. It boils down to a different way of looking at the privilege of money IMHO.

Was this from here? [link]

My birder source reports, “It's a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk. Their tails don't turn red until they are adults. N. Goshawk (mountain forests) and N. Harrier (grasslands/marshes) would be extremely unlikely in an urban setting, but Red-tails are pretty flexible. Red-shouldered, Cooper's, and Sharp-shinned would be the other likely options for an urban hawk."

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Plans for the weekend all involve the word "finally":

  • Take down the damned Christmas tree and put away the rest of the decorations (finally)
  • Unpack (finally)
  • Go grocery shopping so that there is actual FOOD in the house (finally)
  • Get the new hard drive installed so that my laptop won't move at a snail's pace (finally)

I also need to fight off the Plague. I am right on the brink of it getting a lot better or a lot worse. I'm really hoping I wake up feeling great in the morning.
