Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

We've gotten the same reactions to Annabel's name, FWIW.

Hey Susan, do you work at the hospital that starts with an H? I'll be there in the morning, getting my head checked! I will wave in your direction. Assuming I manage to get up, get there, and find the damn place by 7:30AM. BLEH.

Oh MY God. Grey's Anatomy: So not only was Bailey's son injured because his mother was "off at work" but the culprit was falling MEDICAL BOOKS?

Were they out of actual anvils?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Frances makes me think of that children's book series. I dont' remember what kind of animal she is, but...

I think "Tea for Frances" was the book I had.

information libertarian

A a quasi baby name geek, I can't help mentioning that the list everyone was looking at was of babies born to people who are registered for babycenter.com, so assume some demographic selecting. If you want national data, search for the social security lists (2006 is the latest available; 2007 won't be out until mid-year). The best baby name blog (IMO) is Laura Wattenburg's.

Badger! Tea for Frances, Bedtime for Frances, Bread and Jam for Frances, Best Friends for Frances... all with some of the snarkiest made-up songs in late-20th c. children's books. yah... Burrell - you might want to pick some of those up for Franny. Iris is loving the songs. Singed, with an e.

Has anyone seen the Kevin Henkes book Chrysanthemum? It's about having an odd name - pretty good for the pull-up set.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I love Chrysanthemum. It's great when taught w/ a Cisneros piece "My Name" from House on Mango Street.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's kind of ridiculous how often Bread and Jam for Frances comes up in my daily life.

ION, turns out that taking a 12-hour non-drowsy decongestant in the evening? Terrible idea. Really really bad. I spent a lot of time lying in bed last night listening to my ears ring.
