Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Sooo... say someone gets a parking ticket, goes online to pay it, and discovers that the record lists the correct tag number, but the wrong state.

was it an out of state tag that was given an in state label?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

In state tag written up as an out of state tag.

Punishingly Intricate

My new nephew's name is #28. My niece-to-be-here soon's name (Esther) isn't in the top 100.

You know, I swear every year that this will be the year of the Neat and Organized Desk. And yet? I have devolved into piles. Again. I need a secretary or a sherpa or something.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My new nephew's name is #28. My niece-to-be-here soon's name (Esther) isn't in the top 100.

Following the general trends of names, I predict that Esther will have a surge in 15-20 years.

(While the rule of thumb is something like great-grandparents' generation names will be the ones that become popular again when you have kids, my family is Old, so my working theory is that my mother's name--which happens to be Esther--will become popular around the time that her grandchildren are old enough to have kids.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My son is at #55, which is about where he was when I named him. And my daughter is still not in the top 100. I have no idea where her name falls, I gave it to her because it was my mother's middle name.

I find it odd that Nevaeh is at #60something and Frances barely registers when a few decades ago it would have been the other way around, but I guess that just shows that names, especially girls' names, really do go in and out of fashion.
