Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

OK, remind me why I'm not talking politics. Because I just saw something that makes me want to scream and rant about how I just don't UNDERSTAND why other people aren't seeing what I'm seeing in the candidates, and this way leads to tears and fights and raised blood pressure. But it's so hard to keep my mouth shut! It's too important! I want to change minds!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

DJ, I can't think of any.

Hell, I can't even think of lunch. Greek? Can I make it that far?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Really? No dead women that had an influence on the arts in 2007?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

They don't have to have died in 2007, but they have to be dead and have had an influence on 2007 arts.

i.e.

Name: William Hartnell (January 08, 1908 - April 23, 1975)
2007 Influence: William Henry Hartnell was the first actor to play "The Doctor" on the longest running Science Fiction Television show in History: Doctor Who!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm just too spaced, DJ. A reflection on me, not on women and the arts. I think of dead women in 2007 and I get to Anna Nicole Smith and I have to change the mental channel.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Mine has not imploded. But it does keep trying to subtly swap me to the newer version and that always ends badly.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Adrienne Shelley leapt immediately to my mind.
