If Edwards could meet every voter, he could probably get it. But if people thought the haircut was expensive... I tease because I love. But, seriously, I've liked him since he came here.
Natter 56: ...we need the writers.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
It's just...while I love Obama's speechifying, and I love the idea of everyone working together, I need someone who is going to fight for everything we've lost in the last 8 years.
I don't mind partisan bickering of the "This is bad policy. It hurts people," variety. Get the corporations and big money interests out of it, and I'm more likely to believe that's where the disagreement is coming from.
Jessica, if you are around, thanks for the baby clothes! They arrived a few days ago and the smallest ones have already been sent off with my parents. There is one particularly cute red and white striped sleeper that Ellie is determined is meant for her but the rest are currently folded awaiting a baby to wear them.
I am why I cannot have nice things.
I hate it when I lose presents that I've only had for two weeks. Maybe I should just tell the post office to send back the birthday presents they refused to deliver on Saturday, because I just can't be trusted.
That's what I was going to do -- search my car for the missing credit card. I know it wasn't stolen because it's been two weeks and not one funny charge where I can see it on the online account, which means I dropped it in-car or put it in some bizarro pocket, et cetera.
Exactly, DJ! I'm not ready to reconcile yet, and I'm poor. This leaves me one choice, though my inner Lisa Simpson would be geeked about a woman Pres.
CHRIS MATTHEWS: What the hell does "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose," mean?
KEITH OLBERMANN: Do you not *have* a television? Or just to watch you?
MATTHEWS(mumbles) Five jobs and the guy's still a pop-culture expert. Ha!
Aw, but that'd make Obama Voodoo Tatum. I like him better than *that*
Yeah, I think he'd be more of a Smash. Has the talk down, may be more style than substance, but when he's on, he's on.
Would that make Edwards our Sarecen?
I'm an Obama supporter, though I think any of the Democratic top three has the competence and intelligence to handle the job and would be a HUGE improvement in policy and principles above the current occupant.
I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, because I pride myself on being rational and leading with my head rather than my heart...but a big part of why I favor Obama of the three is because when I listen to him I don't feel cynical and detached anymore. He makes me care, and he makes me feel hopeful instead of just angry. That wouldn't be enough to sway me if I didn't think he was intelligent and competent, but I do. Basically, all three candidates please my head, so I'm going with the one who pleases my heart, too.
Jessica, if you are around, thanks for the baby clothes!
Oh, whew! I was starting to get really worried they'd been lost in transit.
A bunch of those were Ellie's first, weren't they? I love that so many of our Buffista babies will wear the same first clothes.
Obama's speeches make me think he's good at giving speeches. I can appreciate them, but they don't move me. (Which I think has a lot to do with the fact that listening to him makes me feel like I'm in a church, and as a nonbeliever I can't shake the feeling that he's just not talking to me on any level.)
I need to track down video or transcripts of the debates to watch.
