Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Jesse, can you have your friend's co-worker ask the Verizon Guy if he'd be willing to beat the crap out of that annoying Chad tool from Alltel?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What'd Richardson do?

My radio keeps playing various versions of Gershwin's Summertime. In January. It is cruel.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My iPod played me "In the Summertime" today! It must be a plot to warm us up.

Dude. I can't believe Richardson bit on that last question.

That was the question of what you said that you wish you didn't say? His answer made me love him a little.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That was the question of what you said that you wish you didn't say? His answer made me love him a little.

Yeah. His answer was awsome, but if ever there was a question to evade that is it. Who wants to bring up something you just want everyone to forget?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Am I seriously the only person who remembers, "Yeah, and you don't stop -- cuz it's 187 on an undercover cop"??

No, no you're not.

and you don't stop . . .

Who wants to bring up something you just want everyone to forget?

Yeah, of the seventeen people who even paid any attention the first time!

WHAT WAS IT?

I've done some reading up on him of late and have thought he's one of the best and unlikeliest candidates.

He said he admired a Supreme Court justice appointed by Kennedy (Whizzer White??), who turns out to have been against Roe and all kinds of other liberal things.

Edit: Yes, "Whizzer" is correct. [link]

I'm super fascinated by that phenomenon, actually -- presidents appointing justices who end up going against what the president would have gone for. I wonder if that will happen anymore.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The SO & I were talking about this. He voted for him in the last election and I didn't. We both criticized him in the past 'cause he's such a schmooze. But we've independently come to the conclusion that his policies are sound, his communication is excellent, and we really like how he's comported himself in this campaign. Part of the problem we were seeing earlier is that he's always running for President, and therefore wants everyone to love him.

But we got to thinking about it and I think the underlying personality of what I'm calling schmooze is diplomacy. And damned if we don't need a diplomat right now. He's experienced in foreign policy; he's experienced in energy. He's intimately familiar with the immigration issues in a way that no northern candidate is going to be.

In the end? We like Richardson. We think people should vote for him.

eta: We're both registered independent, so we have no say in the primaries, but that's our opinion.
