Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I have no pi(e).

However, I am a good girl, and have just been to the gym. I think I'm finally going to start the Couch-2-5k program, and was having an experimental crack at it today. Seems like it could be A Good Thing, and not A Hellish Thing. Which is a pleasant surprise.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The Couch-2-5k things sounds pretty interesting. I've been wanting to try running some more. Once it gets a bit warmer out.

Heh. See, it would be impossible for me to run any less than I presently do! But...this does seem to be a very user-friendly plan to get a person into running, and I've talked to another lass over on my WeightLoss forum who started the program when she weighed a bit more than me - and now, a year later, in addition to having lost a shitload of weight she is LOVING the running, and big into the whole exercise thing. Which is rather encouraging.

We'll see. I need to try hard to make time for the gym, and not let stupid things prevent me from getting my ass down there.

Anyway, yes - once I actually CAN run, I've got Lumpini Park just round the corner, which is a lovely place to go running. (Or to do outdoor aerobics, Tai Chi, use the open air gym etc etc)

(In my case I really can't blame the weather for my failure to go out running! But I'm starting to work on it.)

All is well that ends in pizza.

I have to leave for work in 1/2 hour or so. I will miss the thread closure olympics.

Harvey the cat is draped over my shoulder purring. This makes it hard to eat my oatmeal.

Oh dear. Filk coming on.

Sometimes it's hard to eat your oatmeal,
with all the love of boneless cats...
And when they're whiny, saying 'you never feed me.'
but after all, that's like a cat.

Stand by your cat
Give it a perch to cling to
And do the things that cats do
Then you won't be feelin' lonely...

Stand by your cat...

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

It is grey and rainy and chill today. I am supposed to go walk with a friend in her St. Pat's Day Parade...um, it's not a booth since we're walking but since I've had 1 sip of coffee, I don't know what the hell to call it. Section? She's running for state rep.

But it's the first day of Spring Break, so I am happy. I have of of my best gf's bday to do tonight, so we're all going out! Fun! I may get drunk and naughty. (Although, it seems every time I plan this lately, I get tipsy and boring.)

I like Spike's Bitches 40: thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness.

I like "Thrown together...."

I'm so excited. It looks like I'm going to have bluebirds nesting in the back yard. Cross your fingers that they don't think the dog brings down the neighborhood.

That one was the closest I could find that fit the number 40.

Ok, really going to work now.

Sigh.

Our wings are not tired.

I like thrown together too. Noted in Bureaucrazy.

Ginger, I saw quite the mess in Atlanta this morning! Was there any damage near you?

That's sweet, Ginger. MO doesn't have bluebirds (at least my part of MO) but my mom and dad usually have some sparrows that come back every spring and nest in one of the old hanging baskets on the back deck.

It's about 2 feet from the door the dog goes out to the yard, and they don't seem to mind. And mom and dad can stand at the kitchen door and coo at the little birds. It's something they really hope happens every spring.
