Isn't this approximately the nine thousandth time something like this has happened?
Heh. Yes. Which is why I was not surprised.
There were, however, two people coming (GILF and her umfriend R, who I also like). So a third (who they are both sleeping with) was...not surprising.
It was actually a very good dinner and much fun was had. I enjoy all three of their company (but only want to sleep with two of them).
However, while R did take his shirt off, there was no hanky-panky. And certainly no hanky-panky *I* was a part of. Sigh.
You know meara, just from your posts, I don't like this GILF. She's a tease. I know it's none of my bidness, but I kinda think you deserve no less than the adoration of someone who knows she's lucked out.
(would you have to pay a crapton of taxes on that, or would that be after taxes? Super sweet if after/don't have to!!)
Hard to say at this point, partly because the tax implications change based on the value of the stock when we actually sell it vs. its value at the point we inherited it.
At this point, I'm just trying not to get my hopes too high until we actually know, but it's hard not to imagine the joys of a life with no credit card debt, being able to replace our 13-year-old car, etc.

This.
Sigh. And if I could find other hot women I liked, I could focus on them. But I haven't. Which makes it much harder to not care.
And I do enjoy their company. It's just the mixed signals making me insane.
Meara, GILF is sounding like a combo of the last few gals I've dated. Tease, bring others on dates, etc etc. Very frustrating. Best of luck. I say pick her up on the next date with a two seater (motorcycle? Golf cart??) That way, no visitors. Then take her back to your cleaned place and... well...
Susan, very cool Hope it happens. Debt free is a wonderful concept!
ND, glad to hear things are clearing up. Continued health~ma.
No word from local NPR on offer to volunteer.
Today was a long day, 15 hours door to door. Oy. But then tomorrow, should be like 9. Go figure.
Ugg, got munchies @ 1.30am. Not gonna munch on anything. But stomach is like "c'mon you got goldfish in the cupboard!" I hate it when my stomach knows whats in the kitchen.
This morning was a lesson in Toddlers Who Have Definite Opinions on Clothing Choices.
Emeline has decided she does not like pants. She screamed and whined for a half hour this morning about her severe dislike of pants. So this spring and summer, I will be making a crapload of dresses and skirts. As soon as the summer prints go on sooper sale. I'm buying everything out and getting a few good patterns and making dresses. If anything, it'll make the morning more bearable.
Of course, for the major fit throwing, I was in the shower. Joe had to deal with it. YAY nice daddy not smooshing her little face, even though I know you wanted to. kiss kiss kiss.
I'm really not a fur person, but... mmmmm....
Possibly the two-parent family is to help everyone survive the toddler years.
My morning got off to quite a start - there was a five-alarm fire a few blocks from me (one person hurt, several hundred displaced from the burned building and others nearby) so the streets around home were closed off. Made the trip in kind of, um, interesting.

Also, if it is a specific or residual bequest, I think. (It's been 10 years since I did any Estates & Trusts.) Anyhoo, fingers crossed, Susan!
My commute was kerfucked this morning because of a fire that forced the evacuation of 170 apartments. Conclusion: Police need better training in conducting traffic because the fellow at one corner looked confused.
eta: DC fire xpost!
