Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Omnis, Frisco is not a kitten--he's Stephanie's new baby son who apparently does purr.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Poor omnis. Your brain, we eats it.

Poor O. Poor Cashmere. I hope it's a 24 hour thing that only lasts 12 because he's young and bounces back quickly.

My DH and I put the dog in day care and spent the day unpacking some of the boxes we still had from our move. We got about 18 unpacked, put the stuff away, broke down the boxes and then I gave DH a haircut and now we're showering, picking up the puppy and heading to bonny's talk at the dog store.

We just need to figure out dinner.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I need to grade midterms. Also need to figure out what to do about a student who, after every single quiz and test, emails me to tell me that he knows he didn't do too well on it, and wants to know if there's any way he can do some extra credit work to make up for it.

does anyone else find it ironic that meara took the bus to the DMV?

Hah! It's the downtown DMV, who wants to try to find parking there??

Oh, this! Poor things! Hugs to Cashmere and Owen and everyone else dealing with teh sick.

Hil, I feel your pain on both counts. I'm 37 into 61 narrative comments, so I'm making progress, but I am so unmotivated to write any more. In terms of the student, that drives me batty. I just tell my kids that I don't offer extra credit because I want them to focus on the actual work and be sure their grade is authentic. Doesn't always go over well, but there ya go.

Okay, I need to get back to work. I did the first five comments today in Panera, but I think I need to give up my booth to one of the people giving me dirty looks. I have been here a couple of hours and am bogarting a small booth with an outlet. I've given similar dirty looks to my type before.

I offer extra credit every once in a while, but it's just about always for something that requires understanding the course material. (Like, this week, we were doing some activities with showing all kinds of weird places the Fibonacci numbers show up, and I offered a few points extra credit to anyone who can explain why they show up in a particular puzzle.) I don't offer extra credit to make up for not understanding the course work.

Compassionately intolerant

Sparky and DH AND Sass came all the way down to my workshop tonight. How SWEET is that? Pretty damn sweet.

And you should have seen Miss Sass owning the room. The cute was at public health risk levels, I tell ya.

We had a good crowd, despite the expected bad weather.

But I'm just Sparky came despite a day unloading boxes and still fighting off ick.

Thanks Hon. I really appreciate it!

Mom says, "well, yeah, but you could take them off!"

Laga, your mom is wise. Put me down for the first order of loonie repelling undies.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Today I have:

  • Prepped a bunch of dinners, so the freezer is full.
  • Cleaned off the top shelf and two lower shelves of my computer desk.
  • Freecycled a bunch of stuff, including an old rotary phone, and everything has been spoken for (hopefully all will get picked up).
  • Watched CJ's little league scrimmage - including both a good hit and a great job trying to pick a runner off of second.
  • Printed the maps I need for San Diego next week.
  • Two loads of laundry.
  • Hand washed some stuff.
  • Started gathering the things I need to pack for both the Boise and San Diego trips.

I still need to actually pack...maybe in the morning. Am tuckered.
