Aw, I just got an e-mail from a college friend I haven't heard from in a year or so. She's going to be in town in a couple weeks and wants to get together. We weren't close personal friends, per se, so I find it really nice that she finds me someone worth keeping in touch with.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yesterday we sat down to play and I had rolled up a dwarf ranger named Garrie. My friend brought an elf mage named Gyjax.
Dear god. A commercial on TV is telling me it's been ten years of Jared and the Subway commercials, and I'm flashing back to my high school reunion, and everyone heading up to his hotel room to drink his liquor...
I played D&D in like, 8th grade. Read some of the books. Mostly just liked reading about the various creatures and monsters and such, rather than actually doing any campaigns or anything. I played a kender...;)
meara, alistair says hi!
I played a kender
Wow that race was completely unknown to me until just now. weird. Sounds like a blast to play
meara, alistair says hi!
HAH! Tell him hi back. My my my....old times...;)
I need to be up at 3 to catch a 6 am flight. Why am I not asleep?
Gronk. I barely woke up on time today, took an hour and a half nap in the math lab this afternoon, and just slept again from about 8 to 11. No clue why so tired.
Um. There was something I was going to answer. DC vegetarian-friendly restaurants? Any particular kind/price range?
For Ethiopian, in addition to all the U Street places, there's also Zed's in Georgetown, if you want someplace a bit fancier. (Or if "has photos on the wall of all the politicians who've eaten there" is one of your restaurant requirements.)
OOTS never made my cry before.
Sleep possible on the plane, Maria?
Hivemind question from someone who is totally unthinky right now: I have to fill out an OSHA Exposure Incident Form due to getting some scratches which broke the skin while restraining someone at the group home last week. One of the questions is "If personal protective equipment was not used explain why." How in blue bloody blazes am I supposed to answer that? Is "because we do not put personal protective equipment on for restraints" too snotty an answer, or will it open up the can of worms of why not? I mean, aside from the fact that you can't tell the person who is being restrained to stop trying to hit, kick, bite, scratch and bring the house down on top of you while you go get some gloves and a face shield on. The proper personal safety equipment would be a Puffy!Xander suit, and there is not one available.
