Yes. Lucky for you, people may be in danger.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Answers:

1) I usually forget and feel guilty later.

2) I could only wear heels over 2.5 inches if I had one of those electric carts drive me everywhere. I wear slip-on walking/running shoes. (Note to people who wear high heels or flipflops on the plane: There is no guarantee that the plane will land at your intended destination. Do you really want to spend four days in Gander, Newfoundland, in stilettos?)

3) When I had officemates, I usually brought back candy because it's easy to share.

4) Lots of water.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I've never left less than $20 for hotel housekeeping, even if it was a one-night stay.

Wow!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

1) I usually forget and feel guilty later.

I'm so glad other people do this too.

Punishingly Intricate

How many people leave a cash tip in their hotel room for the housekeepers?

Absolutely. (Except when I've forgotten and then I feel TERRIBLE!)

How many people wear some form of stilletto or heels over 2.5 inches when flying? Or boots?

Hell no! Sneakers or my fleuvog angels.

How many people buy a box of candy to take back to their office mates?

I always mean to and then forget! But I want to be Megan's co-worker. Fleur de Sel caramels? YUH-UM!

How many people get cravings for a food or drink only when they travel? (Like, ordering tomato juice or bloody mary mix on the plane, when you normally don't drink it)

Not when I travel by air but when I roadtrip I always want Dr. Pepper and peanuts.

Compassionately intolerant

Huh. I've never left less than $20 for hotel housekeeping, even if it was a one-night stay

May I be so bold as to speak for my toilet scrubbing brethren and say, "You are a goddess among women."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Someone told me once that $20/day was standard, but I've never been able to afford that. So I usually leave $20/weekend or $5/day for longer stays.

Whoah. Maybe if you're staying at the Ritz? I've never heard $20/day.

I was suposed to get a call for a phone interview at noon. It's now 12:07 here....no call. AGH. I hate this.

Wow, I'm feeling super stupid about a project that seems like it would be a no-brainer... but I can't figure out exactly how to do what I want to get done! UGH! I hate feeling so dumbass.

But, we'll have cake soon, so yay!

Ann, that's a ferret.

How many people leave a cash tip in their hotel room for the housekeepers?

We do. Usually a couple of bucks per night. Though we sometimes don't if we're just staying one night. (Which, come to think of it, we haven't done in quite a while.)

How many people wear some form of stilletto or heels over 2.5 inches when flying? Or boots?

I don't even own any of those. Actually, I'll try to get away with sandals if the weather justifies at all.

How many people buy a box of candy to take back to their office mates?

Yes, it's What's Done around the office -- either a box of candy/treats or some itty bitty knick-knack.

How many people get cravings for a food or drink only when they travel? (Like, ordering tomato juice or bloody mary mix on the plane, when you normally don't drink it)

Soft drinks and snacks that aren't available here. In the British Isles, this means lots of Lilt. Which is the yummiest soft drink ever.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I could only wear heels over 2.5 inches if I had one of those electric carts drive me everywhere. I wear slip-on walking/running shoes.

This is me. When my flight has a stop and I have to change planes, I inevitably deplane in Terminal A, gate 1, and have 13 minutes to get to Terminal Q, gate 666, which requires 3 shuttles and an act of god.

No way in hell I could do that in heels of any kind.
