Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Kitty~ma to Byron. We just visited Jo and she seems to be doing better. We got her to eat both times we visited and she purrs and is really happy to see us. I think they are all good signs.

ETA: You are welcome to come hang with us anytime, Miss Kristin!

Thanks, guys. This reminds me that I really need to update my CV -- I've been horrible about keeping it current, and it's impossible to try to remember things like the dates and topics of talks I gave years ago. Also need to decide what to do with my cash prize, once I find out how much it is.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Way to go, Hil! Impressive.

now, I thought that was about blueberry bagels.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

now, I thought that was about blueberry bagels.

Now that you mention it, it may have been -- it mostly sticks in my mind as a general point about the blueberriness of everything, so I could easily have forgotten the specific trigger.

Is "blueberry" losing all meaning for anyone else?

Au Bon Pain now has cinnamon struedel bagels, or something like that. Cinnamon crumbly stuff on top of the bagel. One of the most ridiculously "Eat a muffin, whitey" bagels I've ever seen. (I noticed it last Yom Kippur, when the fast was over and I really wanted a bagel, and I went there and the only kinds they had left were asiago cheese and cinnamon strudel. Neither of those remotely count as bagels. I ended up with soup and a banana instead.)
