I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

I "learned" BASIC in high school. I graduated in '85, so there was none of this PC frippery. In college we learned to program a cyber robot. Its name was Karel. The instructor always said, "Karl," which bugged, because I was a Buffista, even back then. Despite the information at that link, I don't think Karel had anything to do with Java back then. I'm pretty sure those were the days in which java was still only a schmanzy word for coffee.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I learned what BASIC I knew on an Atari 2600. My high school definitely did not have computers, though I think my middle school had TRS-80s.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Laura, your hair is indeed gorgeous!

I've had a computer forever because my handwriting has always been illedgible, but I didn't have the internet until a few years after high school.

IOmemeN, my allergies kicked in early this year. Thanks goodness for benadryl, nasal spray, tea, and coffee.

Mostly lurking...

Laura, I'm hoping to drop a bunch of things in the mail tomorrow, so I'll do it then. Sox! You'll be getting a package soon too. Sorry about the tardiness.

Ok. I'm off to my meeting. I'm actually feeling a bit more confident right now. Hopefully it will stick.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I seriously only wash my hair once or twice a week, and I run 4-6 times a week (and sweat a lot during said runs). Most of the time, I just rinse my hair with water. It helps a lot.

Ahahaha! I was JUST thinking about a previous iteration of this Bitches conversation in the shower this morning.

I know I should stop shampooing as much, but my hair looks funky when I don't.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Laura, that is a gorgeous color!

I hope your meeting goes better than you could imagine, vw.

I need a little encouragement. I'm having a bit of a tough morning. ND left for another three weeks, and I'm facing all the normal stresses of teaching and the remaining 51 narrative comments I've yet to write. I know that I can do this, but I'm having a hard time getting started.

Someone tell me something happy to inspire me?

Because books.

Someone tell me something happy to inspire me?

Um, I've been having surreal, funny dreams while on painkillers?

I looked like a demented chipmunk most of this week?

Okay, so not happy so much as giggle-worthy, but still.

I suck at inspirational, but you can do it, Kristin.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I am having a really bad week. Can someone come over here and hug the stuffing out of me?

First of all, there was the co-worker dying. And our stock price seems to be dipping lower rather than climbing back up.

Yesterday, my Comcast e-mail broke. Like, I wasn't getting any of my mail, and I couldn't send anything either. I didn't even know it was broken until I tried to send something. For all I know, Cindy never received a birthday e-mail from me. I used the LiveChat feature, and the woman was able to get it working somehow...for about an hour and a half, after which it was broken again, and the man I got this time had no idea what was wrong. He put in a trouble ticket for me, but meanwhile, I was missing who knows how many e-mails.

So I was distraught when I went to pick up my car from the shop (and this was one of the few things that has gone well), and when I tried to find a spot in the BART parking lot (to find a BART cop), I nearly hit someone.

When I got home, I called Comcast and tried to talk to a person, and he had no idea what was going on either, since their servers seemed to be fine. Meanwhile, I had noticed that my computer seemed to be acting up again; I thought I had gotten rid of a potential virus, but not so much. I wondered whether whatever was fucking with my computer had fucked up my e-mail account somehow.

I didn't even eat dinner. I couldn't muster up the energy to do anything but lie on the couch and watch anime and cartoons. I ran two virus scans, and both of them said I didn't have a virus, so I have no fucking clue what's causing my computer problems, especially since I'm pretty damn sure it's caused by the illegal ZoomPlayer I installed a couple weeks ago. I don't deal well with computer problems at all, and now I had non-functional e-mail on top of my other concerns.

I slept at like 10:00 because I didn't want to be awake anymore.

This morning, I tried to see if I could Gmail to download to Outlook Express, and it still wouldn't work, and I have no idea why. It would make a fine secondary e-mail if I knew I could archive it. Then I went down to the courthouse to take care of my ticket, and I had to pay for an hour of parking even though I only needed fifteen minutes. Then when I got to the counter...they hadn't received the ticket yet. My 30 days were almost up, and they hadn't even gotten the ticket? I was supposed to check back in 2-4 weeks? What the fuck is that shit? I did my fucking duty, and they can't be arsed to do theirs?

And then, on the way to work, some woman tried to make a left turn right in front of me, and I came this close to hitting her.

Oh, it looks like I got my Comcast mail to successfully forward to Gmail, so at least I can see what I'm missing from now on, even if I can't save it. I have no idea how much I've already missed, though.

I wish I had a magic wand.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Someone tell me something happy to inspire me?

I have a callback for 'Tis Pity She's A Whore in Bezerkely on Saturday. The location poses its own problems, but hey! Callback!
