Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a ball of nerves today and wish I could just go crawl in a cave and never come out.

You just have to a few things, and then you can crawl into a cave (or, y'know, bed) and never come out (except for food and tomorrow). Good luck with the unpleasantness, in any case.

Is it weird that when DH is away, I pile some stuff in front of the bedroom door so that if anyone opens it while I'm asleep, the clattering will wake me up?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Back when usenet was uphill both ways.

Barefoot, in the snow?

I should be cleaning, so that I can go shopping, as I couldn't last night, because of the weather (which has blessed me with a snow day, so I can't complain too much). Especially since there's a good chance I'll have a lunch date at 11:30. Which means that if I'm going to have anything like breakfast, I should do it now.

This externalized internal monologue brought to you by "Wintry Mix", for when one kind of precipitation just isn't enough.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

I stayed up until 3 am last night reading Deb's latest Haunted Ballad book. Now I'm typing up paperwork stuff. I also am draining some yogurt to make greek yogurt or maybe even yogurt cheese.

Raq

Where were you that they discussed gaming? I've been deep in my own mad dash to finish my Serenity adventure and Zephyr Dray script, so I have missed things...

Librarian Warlord

I very selfishly hope that this does not hinder my academic career in any way--though, my thesis adviser now knows about the situation and supports my actions.

Speaking as someone in an academic career, I doubt it. When you get to the point of interviews, and if this is going to be an issue somehow, we'll be here to help you spin it. Signed, Got a bigger, better job after my boss had demoted and exiled me because I learned to spin it -- just ask Perkins who suffered through those emails.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

The day will bring great things, but an open letter so as to purge negative energy:

Dear Boss:

If I could find $25,000 in 5 hours, you'd be paying me a lot more. IJS.

Love and other indoor sports,
Aimee

Our wings are not tired.

I just hope I'm doing the right thing.

I believe you are. And yes, if you get a chance I'd love to try the shampoo. Don't put it at the top of your list though, your list is long enough.

I'll ask one of my co-workers to snap a pic while it is still bright. A programmer here said, "not many people can pull off that color, but it looks great on you." That's as many words as he normally speaks in a week!

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Emily, how are you feeling?

Pretty good, really. Nagging cough still hanging on -- it's kind of wrecked my sleep the last two nights, and for some reason I think one of my ovaries hurts every time I cough, but otherwise I'm feeling much, much better.

If only I could figure out what to do with this one class...

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

If I could find $25,000 in 5 hours, you'd be paying me a lot more. IJS.

If you could find $25K in 5 hours, I'd encourage you to work one 40 hour week and then you and me can travel the world.

Right?

I wish I could say, "Boss. You run low-income, student housing. Where on earth do you think I'm going to get this money?"
