Oh! This morning I was in a meeting with 3 women and 2 men and one of the buttons on my shirt just came unbuttoned (it's a very loose fitting shirt) and exposed my bra! Dude! Mortifying!
Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
No, the plants are off line because the power outages spiked the grid, and nukes aren't exactly instant-on.
ok - ima jump in here (because I was raised on a steady diet of hydro and nuke... sparky can verify) and say the press is limitless in what it will do to sell stories. G-G, you and DH have our sympathies and I'm passing the fernet - not in the least to toast your birthday! But also just to close this day DOWN. because it really needs it.
reaaaally.
Thanks sj and Sox!
Please pass the fernet, indeed.
Happy Birthday GG!
ND, I'm leaving school in 5 minutes.
Happy B'day, G_G!
sox, in my part of our family tree, water was a forbidden topic at the dinner table.
Thanks KristinT and Sparky1!
water was a forbidden topic at the dinner table
pffft. I have heard both of our fathers speak of the subject. with the golden child. of course.
And my DH still has a corner on the Order of the Golden Ear... courtesy of both our dads... most recently mine. but yours also. I believe your mom and I ran from the table in order to attend to urgent dishwashing duties.
Speaking of which - dad had a touch of surgery last week. minor, but of course that means it is a Big DEAL. He's fine, we think. Mom needs a lot of hugs.
Happy birthday, Gadget_Girl!
Sox, I'm glad your dad is doing well postop. Should the recovery~ma go to your mom instead?
I still have 45 minutes before I can leave, and in the meantime I'm feeling all bloated and irritable, and people are being wrong all over the internet. I've been wandering far afield of Buffistas recently, out of idle curiosity about stuff we don't often discuss, and keep being forcibly reminded of just how differently different reasonable people can think about the same thing (by which I mean WRONG).
eta: And, no, I haven't gone near the Salon letters column. I'm not a complete masochist.
Thanks JZ!
Here, JZ, go read my paper instead: [link]
