Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Aimee, you're the EMPRESS - you're in charge of everybody!

And DC's having a snow/ice/rain-pocalypse. Most of my office decided to stay home. I, of course, living close, am expected. sigh ...

I think you would be a fantastic teacher, Aimee. Fantastic. Go you!!!

Tis cold in Colorado, but I swear it was colder back home. I think it is the wind coming up off the bay making the cold that bone chilling cold. Here - just crisp and cold. I haven't pulled out my gloves yet.

There was supposed to be an inch of snow overnight but nadda. Yes, this Bay Area girl wanted fresh snow. And yes, I know, be careful for what I ask for.

I will admit here that I almost called our Technical Assistance group to ask how to turn on the loaner laptop I have. It literally took me 10 minutes to find the tiny power button.

Techno-dork.

Due to above Snowocalpse, I wore my Doc Maartens to work with my nice pants suit. I have not yet removed them. So comfy.

In consumer news, I went to buy this bag last night. It's totally sugar, right? On the shelf right below it was this bag, in a yummy chocolate brown on sale for $19!

I had to get them both, right?

Our wings are not tired.

I think you will be a great teacher, Aimee. Your commanding Empress presence will be a plus.

No snow day here, but birthday! (82F at the moment, yes I love my home) Thanks for the happy wishes. I've been working from home in my lounging clothes. Now my big plan is to get showered to go to lunch with a friend. Might go to a jazz club tonight in da hood.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Jennifer Lopez had twins today.

Awww. Good for them. Over the past few years, the way the rumors would come and go, I got the distinct impression of several miscarriages. None of my business of course -- but I suspect these births may be that much sweeter for the difficulty getting to them.

It took way too long for the pages to load, but Yes Vortex, buying both was the best plan.

No snow here in the Bahamas, just too much work.
